Friday 14th April 2017

Today was Good Friday and after a couple of weeks of dry sunny weather, obviously today was cold and damp.
The Spring Migration is still at a snails pace and so after a great deal of deliberation we decided on Wykeham South Lake.
The visit started well with 4 Pink Footed Geese and in the none spring vein 2 Barnacle Geese put in an appearance.
The first migrant of the day was a Wheatear and a few Sand Martins and Swallows were seen over the water.
However that was the best of it and after giving the area a really good search, that concluded the day.
