Monday 2nd January 2017

Bank holiday Monday and had to fit Nosterfield in at some point. After yesterdays disappointment of dipping on Waxwings, today was a much brighter but colder day. Started out at Lingham and common wildfowl were Pochard, Goldeneye, Shellduck, Shoveller, Greylag Goose and Canada Goose.  We did locate a ♀ Scaup which brightened up proceedings.
All the Geese were on the field opposite the Entrance so after scanning through at least 500 birds, Pink Footed and White Fronted were seen.
A walk down to Flaske produced Wigeon, Little Egret, Redshank, Dunlin and Great Crested Grebe.
